Skilled Nursing Facility – Boston

A Boston-area skilled nursing & rehabilitation center engaged Alpha Weatherproofing to repair reoccurring leaks in the facility’s busy parking garage and occupied basement.

In the garage, we demolished sections of the asphalt paving and concrete topping slab; repaired punctures in the waterproof membrane; replaced a deck drain; repaired the topping slab; and replaced the asphalt.

In the basement, we demolished asphalt, removed deteriorated concrete curbing, removed several courses of brick at the wall; demolished existing compromised waterproofing; poured fresh concrete curbing; installed new flashing at the base of brick wall; installed bricks with weep holes; applied KEMPEROL® 2K-PUR solvent-free and odor-free waterproofing system; and placed new asphalt.

Each location is now leak-free and well-protected from future water damage, and our client can expand their use of basement space for much-needed storage.
