Project Overview:

The Challenge:
Failed flashing and structural problems had created leaks that allowed water to penetrate and compromise the deck structure.

The Alpha Weatherproofing Solution:
The Alpha team removed the existing brick pavers and failed waterproofing system down to the precast planks, and disposed of a hand rail system.  They also built handicap-access ramps and performed other structural repairs.

Kemper 2K PUR catalyzed urethane with reinforcing fabric was used to reconstruct the flashing and waterproof the total deck area.  Thru-wall flashing and masonry was then installed, along with an updated railing system.

A top coat of Kemper Epoxy was applied with a blend of colored aggregates cast in the surface to provide skid resistance.

This unique and successfully-installed system provides the owners and residents of Crown Point Condominiums with an aesthetically pleasing, safe and waterproof deck.
